Concerts for 2010

 

Our final concert of 2009 was the Traditional Carol Concert at Hugglescote Parish Church, where we were joined by the Leicestershire Co-op (Snibston) brass band for the first time. There was a large and appreciative audience, despite the very cold and icy weather conditions. The church was very warm and welcoming!  

 

Everyone seemed to enjoy the choir’s Christmas music, joining in the carols, listening to the Christmas story and hearing the band playing many favourites – including ‘The Snowman’ and ‘I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas’.

 

To most people’s surprise, on leaving the church at the end of the concert, there had been a new snowfall - not enough to cause too many difficulties, but just enough for a ‘magical’ ending to the concert and the year. And so to 2010 ............  

 

The main work in our first public concert of 2010 will be a performance of

 

‘BRAHM’S GERMAN REQUIEM’

with soloists Caroline Palmer (soprano) and Jeremy Leaman (Bass)

at CHRISTCHURCH, London Road, COALVILLE

on 22nd MAY 2010 at 7.30pm
