Handel’s Messiah – Holy Cross Church, Whitwick on Saturday 31st October 2009

There was not a seat to be had in Holy Cross church for the performance of Messiah, proving just how popular Handel’s wonderful oratorio is, 250 years after his death!

With four brilliant soloists and a large orchestra, the choir were in excellent form and produced, in the words of a member of the audience, a ‘magical evening’.

On November 20th 2010 a large number of people braved the foggy, cold, weather to come to Christ Church, Coalville for our concert of Karl Jenkins’ Armed Man (Choral Suite) and ‘Feel the Spirit’, a selection of spirituals arranged by John Rutter. The programme also included part of Laurence Binyon’s poem ‘For the Fallen’ set to music by Mark Blatchley.
