Carol Concert 2011 at Hugglescote Parish Church

On Saturday 17th December 2011 we again welcomed, as our guests, Leicestershire Co-op Snibston Band to be with us at our annual carol Concert, the first under the direction of our new Musical Director, Andrew Goff.

What a great night it was, with carols, readings (both serious and amusing), beautiful Christmas songs and anthems sung by the choir and brilliant music from the band!

There were mince pies and wine at the interval, and the large audience seemed to have a great evening to start off their Christmas festivities in fine style.

The final band item was a fantastic piece called ‘Kingdom Triumphant’ which shook the rafters of the church.

Our autumn concert was the MOZART REQUIEM at Christ Church, Coalville on Saturday 19th November 2011.

The concert was very well attended and everyone enjoyed a wonderful performance by the choir, soloists and organist. A few pictures of the evening are shown below.
