Latest site update: May 5th 2016
Our first concert of 2016 and our first to be led by our new musical director was a performance of DVORAK’s MASS IN D MAJOR, together with a set of European sacred melodies, on 19th March 2016 at St John's Church, Hugglescote. There were some wonderful organ pieces played by Leicester cathedral organist, Simon Headley and superb solos from acclaimed soprano, Caroline Essex.
This concert of beautiful music was very well received by an appreciative audience.
Our next concert will be a “café-style” evening at Ibstock Community College where we will be joined by the Brian Humpherson Jazz Group. See the News/Concerts page for more details, plus details of our other concerts planned for 2016.
The society welcomes applications for all categories of membership; tenors and basses are particularly encouraged to apply!
